  • Arrival
Welcome! Are you responsible for the group? If so, please check in with the team before moving into the accommodations or campsite. Your supervisor will answer all your questions.
  • Departure
Please ensure that the campsites, sleeping quarters, washrooms, toilets, kitchens, and seminar rooms are left clean (according to the checklist) before departure. It is important that you adhere precisely to the agreed departure time! Please plan your stay so that you leave the premises by 4:00 PM (weekends) or 1:00 PM (summer) at the latest.
  • Badge – Federal Center Wassergspreng
You can purchase the badge in the shop either with cash or by credit card. Please contact our team if you would like to purchase a badge. The badge costs €2 each.

You can purchase items from the scout centre at the juice shop. A mailbox is located in Weißenbach, and the nearest post office is in Hinterbrühl.
  • TEAM PRESENCE ON THE PRESENCE
During your stay, team members may be carrying out maintenance work on the grounds (e.g., mowing the lawn, repairs, etc.). We will, of course, take care not to disrupt your program.
  • Doctor and Pharmacy
Current addresses and information can be found on the notice boards in the display cases at the mill entrance, in the passageway to the sawmill, and at the shower container, as well as in the welcome folder.
  • Ash
There is a separate container for COLD ashes at the waste collection point.
  • Excursions
An overview with descriptions and links can be found on our website. Information brochures are available in the office. The team is up-to-date on current events – just ask!
  • Notice Board
You will find informations at the notice boards at the mill entrance, in the passageway to the sawmill, and at the refrigerator building.
  • Cars and other vehicles
can be parked at your own risk in the area in front of the mill. Additional parking is available in the bays along the access road and above the scout centre. Driving on the campsite meadows is prohibited! Unobstructed access for emergency vehicles (ambulance, police, and fire department) must be guaranteed at all times.
  • Buses
can turn around at the Federal Center Wassergspreng (please notify us in advance so the turning area can be kept clear!). Parking spaces for buses are available nearby upon request.

We are happy to provide you with timber. Please inform the team before taking any! Timber is available in various lengths; therefore, the poles must not be cut. If nails are used for construction, please ensure that all nails are removed before returning the accommodation. Please stack the wood, now free of nails and string, back in the designated woodpile.
  • Trees and Damage to Fields
We are located in the Vienna Biosphere Reserve. Therefore, we must protect our trees – they must not be damaged or felled under any circumstances. The group leader will be held liable for any damage to fields.
  • Batteries
Batteries are special waste and are not to be disposed with regular household waste! Please take used batteries home.
  • Bedding
For hygiene reasons, you must use your own bedding in the houses, even if you are sleeping in a sleeping bag. Pillowcases, sheets, and duvet covers can be borrowed from us in exceptional cases. The mattresses are covered with mattress protectors – these are not a substitute for sheets. The same applies to the pillowcases. Please do not remove either!
  • Biosphere Reserve
The Wassergspreng Federal Center is located in the heart of the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve and borders a core zone to the east. The Biosphere Reserve offers numerous opportunities for an exciting camp program, but it also needs to be protected. In the core zone (“the primeval forest of tomorrow”), only the marked hiking trails may be used – information is available from the team!
  • Branding Stamps
with the logo of the scout centre are available. Please ask the team.
  • Firewood
You will find it behind the fire pit. Please look for the “Firewood” or “Fresh” signs! Collecting firewood in the forest is prohibited. Please ask the team for directions!
  • Bread
and fresh pastries can be delivered upon request, but you must order them yourself. The telephone number can be found on the notice board under “Important Addresses.”
  • Showers

  • Shopping
The nearest supermarkets are in Weissenbach (Spar), Hinterbrühl (Spar, Billa, etc.), and Mödling.
  • Furniture
remains in the building – it is not designed or intended for outdoor use. If tables/benches are needed at the campsite, please contact the BZW team.
  • Firstaid kits
each group should bring its own. If anything is missing, please contact the team!
  • Fire extinguishers
are located at all key points in the buildings; fire blankets are available in the kitchen.
  • Fire pits, cooking areas, campfires
are, of course, welcome. Please use the existing cooking and fire pits whenever possible. In exceptional cases, you may light a cooking or campfire on the campsite after consulting with the team, but only in fire bowls or raised structures. Building materials such as lumber, stones, and bricks are available. Please observe quiet hours when lighting campfires; our neighbors will thank you. Please do not leave the fire unattended and extinguish it before leaving! Please dispose of the cold ashes in the designated container at the waste collection point.
It is important that you have read and signed the information sheet for cooking and campfires!
  • Fire department access
must be maintained at all times! Access routes must not be obstructed!
  • Escape routes
are marked and must not be obstructed!
  • Gas lamps
may be used; it is important to observe the safety regulations!

Please take off your outdoor shoes in the buildings!
  • Internet – Wi-Fi

  • Cooking equipment
Camp campers can rent a cooking box for a fee.
  • Camp structures
You can build structures on the campsite – we’d love to see your photos! 😊 There is plenty of lumber available. Please dismantle your structures before departure – this also applies to structures built in the stream! The responsibility for camp structures lies with the respective group leader.
  • Follow the camp and house rules
In case of violations of these camp and house rules, the team reserves the right to remove participants from the grounds without refunding the camp fee!
  • Food waste
Please do not dispose of food waste in the stream or toilets under any circumstances. Instead, please use the organic waste bin located in the waste collection area.

  • Cleaning supplies
for maintenance and final cleaning are available from the team.
  • Repairs
If anything breaks, please inform the team immediately. Necessary repairs and additional cleaning costs will be charged according to actual expenses.
  • Sanitary facilities
are readily available in the houses and at the campsite. We urge you to keep the facilities clean!
  • Self-catering kitchens
    are available in both houses.
  • Accident prevention
is paramount! The scout center assumes no liability for accidents of any kind; responsibility lies with the respective groups!
  • Forest fire regulations of the district authority
The Mödling district authority has issued forest fire regulations for the entire Mödling district. These regulations must be followed. We have prepared an information sheet for the scout center, which the person responsible for the guest group will receive upon arrival, must read, and must sign.
  • Caravans
and motorhomes are generally not permitted. The grounds and infrastructure at the Wassergspreng Federal Center are not designed for such vehicles. In special cases, please contact the team in advance.
